Canon has launched their first-ever music album, AutoFocus, designed to enhance creativity and productivity. This seven-track compilation, available now on Spotify, was specially crafted for use with Canon’s innovative Light & Speaker ML-A, a Bluetooth® speaker with integrated lighting.
Knowing creatives often spend hours editing, Canon expands its focus beyond capturing the world to the creation process itself. AutoFocus delivers 40 minutes of melodies designed to induce a concentration state, aiding in deep work and reducing mental fatigue.
Lyz Cooper, psychoacoustic expert and founder of the British Academy of Sound Therapy, and Jimmy Day of LOYAL collaborated on the album, weaving higher frequencies and warm chord progressions into the music to enhance focus. For mindful breaks, AutoFocus includes an eight-minute track titled “Pause” to help listeners switch off and recharge.
Research commissioned by Canon, involving 2,000 adults, revealed that six in ten listen to music while working or studying at home. 47% use music to enhance concentration, and 40% find it helps pass the time and increase enjoyment. One in ten even create dedicated work playlists.
This research inspired the Light & Speaker ML-A, a versatile device that blends lamp and speaker functionality. It helps you craft the perfect ambiance, whether for a special occasion, focused work, or relaxed content editing. The speaker is optimized for background music, and the tilting, rotating arm provides targeted lighting for any workspace.
