The Alpine A110 has been named the Best Value Sports Car at the What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2024. The judges praised the car’s agility and handling, as well as its excellent value for money.
The A110 starts from just £499 per month when purchased on a 2.9% APR representative Personal Contract Plan (PCP). The iconic coupe range starts from £54,490 OTR.
What Car? editor Steve Huntingford said: “The A110 may be our value option, but don’t think that means it’s merely good for the money. In reality it’s one of the most agile and entertaining sports cars you can buy regardless of price, with its exceptionally low weight helping it feel lithe and involving.”
Nic Burnside, MD of Alpine Cars UK, said: “With an intoxicating blend of style and substance, backed up by an enviable thoroughbred history, the A110 is a favourite of the press and enthusiasts alike. Couple this with the unrivalled value for money that this latest award highlights, and it’s easy to see how the Alpine formula continues to find fans.”
The value-focused award follows the recent announcement of highly attractive PCP finance packages across the range, all of which are designed to make the A110 more accessible than ever to sports car enthusiasts.
Available until the end of March, these offers see the A110 available from only £499 per month when purchased on a 2.9% APR representative Personal Contact Plan (PCP).
In addition to the three-year PCP finance package available on the A110, there is the option of a 0% APR representative deal on the uniquely specialised A110 GT and S versions at only £599 per month.
Both offers also come with complimentary servicing for the first year, providing prospective customers with exceptional value.
Taking its styling cues from the legendary Berlinette and available from just £54,490 OTR, the A110 delivers enthralling performance thanks to the agility of its ‘Alpine’ chassis and its characterful 252 bhp engine. Weighing only 1,102 kg, the A110 can sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds, its 7-speed dual-clutch transmission shifting ratios in 260 milliseconds.
With a focus on spirited, long-distance driving, the A110 GT offers a unique combination of performance and elegance. Its specially-tuned 300 bhp engine ups the ante with 0-62 mph completed in just 4.2 seconds, while its 18-inch diamond cut Grand Prix alloy wheels, Focal Premium audio system and heated seats accentuate its grand touring credentials.
The A110 S, meanwhile, is designed with track use more in mind. Exclusive lightweight forged aluminium Fuchs wheels hint at the racing spirit of its sports chassis, while the optional aerodynamic kit and semi-slick tyres allow the ultimate expression of its motorsport heritage.
