Five Prancing Horses gallop across North and South Islands in a 3,000km adventure.

New Zealand’s breathtaking landscapes served as the canvas for a recent Ferrari Grand Tour, showcasing the Purosangue’s undeniable performance, style, and versatility. Five of these modern four-door GTs embarked on a three-week journey, weaving through diverse terrains from Auckland’s bustling streets to the serene fjords of Milford Sound.

Chosen for its groundbreaking take on the high-riding GT car, the Purosangue proved its mettle with a 725-horsepower V12 nestled under its hood. This potent combination of thrilling power, luxurious comfort, and agile handling, thanks to its innovative active suspension, made it the perfect chariot for this epic expedition.

Fifty journalists had the privilege of experiencing the Purosangue firsthand, sharing the wheel across both North and South Islands. They traded Auckland’s urban jungle for the golden sands of Waihi Beach and explored the iconic Mount Maunganui. Rotorua’s geothermal wonders and Taupo’s majestic lake views left them awestruck, while the winding Gentle Annie road tested the Purosangue’s prowess, which it aced with effortless grace.

Wine connoisseurs rejoiced in the Martinborough vineyards, while Wellington’s Weta Workshop, birthplace of cinematic magic, sparked wonder. A ferry ride whisked them to the South Island, where they delved into the world-renowned Marlborough wine region and marveled at the marine life around Kaikoura.

A chance encounter with a vintage 166 Inter, a reminder of Ferrari’s rich heritage, warmed the hearts of enthusiasts. Christchurch’s charm and the Southern Alps’ grandeur awaited, followed by the ethereal beauty of Lake Tekapo and Pukaki. Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, with its sky-piercing peak and observatory, offered a glimpse into the heavens.

The vibrant Queenstown provided a respite before the final leg to Milford Sound. This remote fjord, embraced by nature’s majesty, marked the culmination of this unforgettable journey.
